Case Narrative

DSI was named Trustee in this complex Chapter 7 bankruptcy of Abraham D. Gosman after Mr. Gosman’s Chapter 11 case failed. Mr. Gosman had ownership in over 300 public and private companies, partnerships and business ventures in the medical and real estate development fields. Gosman owned, operated and managed nursing homes and assisted living facilities throughout the United States. Administration of the Gosman estate included the review and analysis of Gosman’s complicated financial affairs, disentangling business from personal matters, and the workout and sale of operating assisted living facilities and real estate ventures.  The Gosman residence was sold to Donald Trump for $41 million and another $10 million was recovered for the estate through the auction of valuable artwork, furnishings and antiques.  DSI conducted an investigation to determine the whereabouts of property, including jewelry and works of art, that Mrs. Gosman secreted when DSI obtained a $66 million fraudulent transfer judgment against her.  DSI’s investigation led to a criminal indictment against Mrs. Gosman for bankruptcy fraud.
