Case Narrative
Air Transport Services Group, Inc. (“ATSG”) is a leading global provider of air cargo transportation services. Until 2009, ATSG served as the contract carrier for all packages originating worldwide on the DHL air freight network destined to or from the United States. DSI was retained by ATSG to aid in the creation and review of a business plan that would ensure the viability of the company. The goal was to downsize the company on a consensual basis, getting the company’s labor unions, its lenders and its major creditors to agree to a restructuring of ATSG’s financial obligations such that the company could continue its operations and avoid any formal insolvency proceeding. Following protracted negotiations, agreements were reached with all relevant major stakeholders and the company continues in business today.
