Case Narrative

DSI was appointed Receiver in a matter commenced in the Northern District Court of Indiana involving an 800 stall dairy farm which had been abandoned by its former owner/operator.  Issues which were successfully resolved during the Receivership included establishing a co-operative working relationship with IDEM, negotiating a settlement with adjacent landowners establishing application agreements for liquids and solids as well as acquiring feedstock for coming year, and acquiring the adjacent property on which the lagoon had been constructed so as to allow the business to be sold as an operating dairy facility in a competitive bid process.
